Harvest Bible Fellowship is the church planting arm of Harvest Bible Chapel. Harvest Bible Fellowship believes in planting local churches where God is visibly at work. We strive to train leaders who will grow congregations where God is changing lives and people are becoming more like him.
We believe that local churches exist to glorify God through fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). These principles guide us as we seek to build the church:
• Healthy things multiply (2 Timothy 2:2)
• A generous spirit leads to multiplied opportunity (Ecclesiastes 11:1)
• Building strong leaders requires enduring commitments (Proverbs 27:17)
• Smaller churches can have significant, eternal impact (Zechariah 4:8-10)
All Harvest churches are united by a common doctrine and philosophy of ministry. With respect to the former, we are conservative and evangelical. With respect to the latter, we are contemporary and innovative. Thus, we stand between two worlds, bringing the modern person into contact with the ancient faith that was ‘once for all delivered to the saints’ (Jude 3).
Specific convictions about doctrine, government, practice and association are central to the life and culture of each church participating in Harvest Bible Fellowship.
The Fellowship’s Principles of Doctrine, Government and Practice describe our core convictions about the nature of God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Scriptures and other key points of theology and doctrine. These principles are binding on each church that carries the name Harvest Bible Chapel. The Principles’ Issues for Clarification section describes the convictions held by Harvest Bible Chapels on issues debated in today’s culture, including Counseling Philosophy, Salvation and Security, Spiritual Warfare, Sufficiency of Scripture, Women in Ministry and Worship.
